Both products can help create product imagery from existing photos. Photoroom also combines cleanup, retouching and resizing with native Shopify publishing on Max or Ultra. Pebblely focuses on generated product scenes with backgrounds, shadows and reflections.
A current native Pebblely store connector was not verified. That does not prevent a Shopify merchant from using it: the documented route is to upload a product photo, generate images, download the accepted results and add them to the store.
Compare the plan for your actual job
Photoroom Pro is listed at $12.99 monthly with 8,000 AI credits and 1,000 exports. The Shopify-connected Max plan starts at $34.99 monthly. These displayed dollar prices are preserved without an ISO-currency assumption. Pro excludes Shopify publishing and video.
Pebblely Lite is US$9 monthly for 30 generated images. Bulk generation begins at Basic, US$19 for 200 images. Pro is US$39 for 500. Those allowances are generated images, not guaranteed usable catalog images. Compare the correct plan and billing commitment before evaluating cost.
Check the operational limitation
Photoroom’s Shopify publishing is one-way and can overwrite live catalog images. Changes made in Shopify do not sync back. Give someone responsibility for approving the final images before publication.
Pebblely’s simpler upload/export route leaves the publishing step with your team. That may be sufficient for a small catalog; repeated manual transfers become part of the workload as volume grows.
A practical trial for this decision
Give both products the same original photos, desired aspect ratios and scene brief. Include a label-heavy product and one difficult edge or reflective surface. Count acceptable exports, attempts and review minutes, then add the publishing step.
- Choose Photoroom’s eligible higher plan when native Shopify publishing is a requirement.
- Choose Pebblely’s Basic or Pro plan when bulk generation is required.
- Inspect product fidelity independently of background attractiveness.
What this comparison establishes
This is a documentation-backed comparison checked on 30 September 2026. We have not independently tested output quality, speed or conversion impact. The recommendation describes workflow fit; final image quality needs a trial with your products.
